Early Friday morning, San Diego police launched an investigation following a shooting at a Linda Vista gas station that left two people critically injured. The incident occurred at the Chevron station located at 6949 Linda Vista Road, shortly before 5:30 a.m., after gunshots were reported in the area.
According to information provided by officers at the scene, two individuals were shot in the parking lot by an unidentified assailant. According to information published by ABC 10News. Reports indicate that three people, including one of the victims, fled the scene in a white sedan. However, the vehicle crashed minutes later at the intersection of Osler and Comstock streets.
A witness stated that two of the occupants asked for help for the injured person before leaving the scene. Paramedics arrived at the crash site and transported the victim to a local hospital. Police discovered a firearm inside the crashed vehicle and are continuing the search for the two individuals who fled.
In another development, the second shooting victim walked from the gas station to a nearby residence, where they asked a resident to call emergency services.
