On the night of September 27, authorities made a gruesome discovery of human remains in the trunk of an abandoned vehicle in Colonia Alemán, part of the Zona Centro district.

The discovery occurred after an inspection of a gray Honda car, which was found on Mar Caribe street. According to unofficial sources, a human torso was found inside a plastic box in the open trunk of the vehicle.

Members of the Mexican Army secured the area, awaiting the arrival of forensic services to continue the investigation.
