In the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a woman caused the death of her husband by setting him on fire during an intense argument, according to local sources.

The incident was captured on a video that has gone viral on social media. In the footage, the couple is seen immersed in a heated dispute before the woman, in a sudden outburst, pours a flammable liquid over her husband. In a matter of seconds, she ignites a lighter, engulfing the man in flames.

Despite efforts to assist the victim, severe burns on his body proved fatal. The man was urgently transported to a nearby hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities, led by Flávio Ferreira, delegate of the 38th Police Station in the locality of Brás de Pina, have revealed that the motive for the crime appears to be jealousy. Although detailed information has not been provided, investigations are underway.
