In the city of Taoyuan, northern Taiwan, in the Asian continent, a 40-year-old man was showing off a firearm to his friends. This incident was recorded in a video captured by a security camera located in the living room of a home in the mentioned city.

According to reports from national and international media, the individual was trying to demonstrate to his friend that the gun was not operational. In the scene, the friend, accompanied by his two teenage children, is also present.

In an attempt to prove that the gun was not functional, the man displayed a green-colored pistol, pointing it at his own head and pulling the trigger, seemingly without any effect. However, while repeating the action to drive home his point, he again placed the firearm pointing at his head, pulled the trigger once more, and ended up injured by a gunshot to the head.

The friend's reaction was immediate: he jumped up in desperation, hopping while shouting and covering his mouth with his shirt. Meanwhile, the two teenage children, initially stunned, eventually stood up from their seats and ran away upon witnessing the shocking situation.
