The win went to Yodhinobu Yamamoto, who pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowing just 2 runs, 4 hits, and giving up 1 walk. In return, he struck out eight batters. Following him on the mound were Blake Treinen, Evan Phillips, and Edgardo Henríquez.

The loss was charged to José Quintana, who in 3 1/3 innings allowed 5 runs, 5 hits, and issued 4 walks. He managed only 2 strikeouts. After him, Phillip Maton, Danny Young, and José Butto took the mound.
In the other Championship Series, the Cleveland Guardians beat the New York Yankees 7-5, although the Yankees still lead the series 2-1.
