Around 80 Christmas-decorated boats will parade through the bay
The San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is a long-standing holiday tradition organized by the local boating community. In its 54th edition, this event promises to delight and entertain spectators on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Parade participants will decorate their boats in line with this year’s theme.
Each year, the Parade of Lights brings together over 100,000 residents and visitors along the bayfront, making it one of the region’s most iconic events. The procession features around 80 lavishly and creatively decorated boats. Admission to enjoy the parade is free. For the sixth time, the parade will pass by the pier at Cesar Chavez Park before turning toward Coronado, offering spectators a new viewing point. The procession will start at 5:30 p.m. and follow a pre-established route.
