San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) has warned 24,700 customers in eastern San Diego County of possible power outages starting Wednesday morning as a preventive measure against wildfire risks. As of 11 a.m. on Wednesday, 683 customers in the Boulevard and Campo areas were already without power.
Potentially affected communities include Alpine, Campo, Descanso, El Cajon, Escondido, Julian, Lakeside, Ramona, Santee, and several indigenous reservations, such as La Posta, Pala, and Viejas, among others. SDG&E has notified at-risk customers via phone calls, text messages, and emails.
