Forecasts predict storms
Cool and cloudy weather will dominate Thursday as a low-pressure system moves over the western United States during the second half of the week.
Strong coastal flow and an increase in the marine layer could lead to isolated drizzle on Thursday morning, with a higher chance of light rain between Thursday night and Friday morning.

While this system may produce some precipitation, most areas are only expected to receive a few hundredths of an inch of rain, with some places potentially remaining dry.

West winds are expected to intensify significantly in the mountains and deserts by Thursday afternoon, with gusts reaching between 40 and 50 mph. By Friday, the winds will shift more toward a northerly direction.
Warmer and drier weather is forecasted to prevail over the weekend and into early next week.
