Its goal is to convey a message to youth about the consequences of drug use and the path to criminality, explained Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda
“Prevenir es Ganar” (Prevention is Winning) is a program set to reach over 100,000 young people from 500 educational institutions, including middle schools, high schools, and universities. Its objective is to convey a message to the youth about the consequences of drug use and the path to criminality, explained Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, the governor of the state.
The program will feature Mexican actor, comedian, and host Facundo, as well as Sebastián Marroquín, son of Pablo Escobar, one of the world’s most infamous drug traffickers. Through their experiences, they will guide young people toward living a substance-free life.
During the formal event, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda addressed the youth, emphasizing the importance of the new generations for the future. She highlighted that the efforts made in the state aim to prevent young people's dreams from being shattered by poor decisions, ensuring that they are instead provided with all the necessary opportunities to achieve them.

“For me, it is very important that our young people know that we believe in you... Today, as we govern, we reach these spaces. As governor, I do not forget where I come from and the work it took to get to where I am, just as I want you to have the opportunities to achieve your dreams. Today, young people are part of public policies,” she stated.
The program has an investment of over 4 million pesos and will include virtual reality glasses. These glasses will allow young people to make decisions through programs and questions specifically designed for them, aiming to implement preventive actions and comprehensive strategies to combat crime.
