Starting on Sunday, July 7, crews will begin night work to install pipelines at the intersection of Clairemont Drive and Balboa Avenue as part of the city’s Pure Water project.

This work will be performed at night to minimize traffic impacts. This phase of night work is expected to last approximately 10 days; however, the construction schedule is subject to change.

Schedule and Detours:

Work Schedule:From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday nights through Thursday nights.

Detours: During working hours, detours will be in place at the intersection. Outside of these hours, all lanes will be open to traffic.

Traffic Details:

Clairemont Drive: One lane of northbound and southbound traffic will be maintained during working hours.

Balboa Avenue: Eastbound and westbound traffic will be detoured.

Safety:

For your safety, please follow all posted signage. Plan extra time for travel in the area to accommodate for traffic delays and anticipate construction noise and overnight construction.

Emergency Access:

Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

Once work in the intersection is completed, crews will continue working northbound on Clairemont Drive to install the pipeline. The map displays the detours that will be in place during working hours, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.
