Significant changes are coming for America's most famous coffee chain
Starbucks is on the verge of significant changes with the arrival of Brian Niccol as its new CEO on September 9. Niccol, who led Chipotle for six years, will replace Laxman Narasimhan, who held the position for 17 months. Although Niccol has not yet revealed his plans, analysts expect significant modifications to the menu and store operations.
Niccol will also assume the role of chairman of the board, indicating greater authority. His approach could include new strategies to revitalize the menu and improve operational efficiency in existing stores.
Unlike Taco Bell and Chipotle, which primarily operate in the United States, Starbucks will be Niccol's first experience managing a restaurant chain with a large international presence.
